It is necessary that all individuals are prepared against potential disaster. It is impossible to be aware of exactly when an emergency might strike, and as such, one should take extensive actions to ensure that he or she knows exactly what to do in any situation. The implications of disaster preparation are numerous, and the process of readying oneself for emergency situations can seem daunting. Although, one can best protect himself or herself by starting with the basics.
The initial important step in amassing one’s stockpile would be to make it possible for one possesses a well balanced assortment of food items. It may be true that preservative-laden potato chips and snack foods will keep for many months, but if one ever had to actually use his or her foods stockpile, these food does not supply one with the energy and nutrients that his or her body demands. One should therefore ensure that the foodstuff in his or her stockpile represent every one of the significant nutrients that people demand for survival. This includes proteins, carbohydrates, and quality fats, plus a vast range of nutritional vitamins and minerals. Survival schools or a survival blog can be consulted for a entire checklist of the nutrients that the human body requires on a daily basis.
An easy way to make sure that one’s foods for an emergency features the vital nutrients would be to take on foods from several different groups. Although nutrition bars are very useful components of a survival kit, one should not rely completely on these snacks for his or her emergency sustenance. Great additions to a foodstuff stockpile would include nuts, dried fruit, jerky, crackers, canned beans and vegetables, and pretzels. One can visit a survival blog for more food ideas.
After collecting all of the vital components of his or her stockpile, a person needs to store his or her foodstuff in a protected place. The storage site needs to be very easily accessible even if the condition of one’s home has been affected by the disaster; for instance, if one lives in an site that is quickly flooded, then he or she should be certain to keep the foodstuff stockpile in the upper reaches of a cupboard or shelf making sure that the food items is not damaged. An emergency blog based in one’s specific location can be advantageous in determining a good location to keep one’s foodstuff for survival.
Eventually, it is required that one refreshes the meals in his or her stockpile on a regular basis. Many families setup a stash of crisis food and then overlook it over time. One really should be certain to check the stockpile each six months or so, changing any expired or spoiled foods as a way to assure optimal health in the case of a disaster.
I’m a woman who likes to explore alternative therapies. Some work, some don’t. Some are simply the victim of time. We live in a fast-paced world where everyone expects a quick solution. While I often try to stick to the most natural cures and remedies possible, even I will opt for a quick fix once in a while. A wife and mother simply has to function.
That said, over the years I’ve had dozens of conversations with other women about yeast. We all agree that the vaginal yeast infection is awful and some of us have found ways to minimize their occurrences. What most women don’t realize, however, is that the vaginal infection is just one type of yeast infection. It’s caused by the Candida albicans organism and can actually manifest in a wide variety of different ways, including toe or fingernail fungus, oral thrush, skin irritations, ringworm, and even jock itch. Some people develop systemic infections that mimic more concerning diseases ranging from depression to simple urinary tract infections. Some people even develop the dangerous leaky gut syndrome.
Are Candida Scams Common?
As we started to research more, we found that while yeast infections are relatively common, information regarding tried and true treatments is really hard to come by. There are several people who don’t even believe the Candida albicans organism, which exists naturally within your body the same way you’d find bacteria, is even real. I spent a while giggling at a blog post I found about a year ago in which a woman outright denies the existence of the organism. Perhaps she’s the single lucky woman on the planet who has never had a vaginal infection or bout with toenail fungus. I often find that the people who are screaming the loudest about Candida not being real are the ones who are trying to sell over the counter or chemical treatments for the symptoms we often associate with the chronic yeast condition.
And that’s the problem right there. These people are herding you away from the root cause so that they can convince you to spend money to cure not your root cause, by the underlying symptoms. That’s the type of vicious cycle that could never end.
Take, for example, some of these common (and not so common) signs that you might have a chronic yeast problem:
You show signs of food allergies; You are bloated or have frequent gas; You have indigestion, constipation, or diarrhea; You are tired, fatigued, depressed, or anxious; You feel foggy or have trouble concentrating; Your vision blurs or you feel like you’re seeing spots in your vision; You’re irritable, moody, nervous, or confused; You have a wide variety of gastrointestinal symptoms, including heartburn, hemorrhoids, peri-anal itching, mouth sores, or stomach problems; You have frequent kidney, bladder, or urinary tract infections; Your skin is itchy, dry, or red; You have a strong smelling odor from your skin, feet, or hair that deodorant doesn’t help; You have muscle aches and pains; or You bruise easily.
These are, sadly, just a handful of the symptoms you may experience that can be caused by a systemic Candida infection. The problem is that the moment you walk into a traditional doctor’s office and describe, for example, the distinct symptoms of a bladder infection, you’re likely to walk out the door with a script for antibiotics. Antibiotics will, unfortunately, give the yeast organism something to thrive off of, allowing more fungus to form in your body.
The Good News about Candida Crusher
My friends and I all purchased copies of the Candida Crusher book by Dr. Eric Bakker at the same time and you can get the book here if you’re interested in seeing it. We each had different symptoms but we all led similar lifestyles. Three of us tried the spit test and one reluctant friend decided to browbeat her doctor into doing the bloodwork to test for Candida. We all showed signs of infection.
The bad news? Following a strict Candida diet like the one outlined in the Candida Crusher book isn’t really easy. You’ll have cravings for foods you shouldn’t have and you’ll feel like your diet is really restricted. The good news is that the book lays everything out simply and makes it easy to follow. That, combined with the support of my friends, allowed me to follow the program for a good 4 months.
We all had our doubts when we started researching Candida. We even had our initial doubts about Candida Crusher. I, for one, am glad that’s the resource we chose to stick with. I’ve never felt better and my family is glad to have a more energized and enlightened wife and mother in the house. In this case, I can assure you, the quick-fix would have been the scam. Stay true to yourself and don’t try to rush the process. This plan works and if you follow it you’ll feel better before you know it!

Are you sick of feeling bloated and having putrid flatulence? Are you tired of suffering from constipation? Do you realize the dangers of prolonged use of laxatives? Would you like to end the pain and discomfort associated with constipation? Would ten or fifteen minutes be a reasonable trade, if it would help you find a cure for constipation? What if this activity Could make you a better person?
Grandmothers have been telling us to do this from time eternal. She more than likely didn’t know it could cure constipation. No, this one is not fiber, prunes, fruit, juice, or even nuts. It is not drinking more water, or less dairy. It is also not exercising. These are all a cure for constipation, but not what I’m talking about. This remedy is absolute simplicity. OK this is an exercise, but it won’t ever make you sweat.
OK enough already! What is this magic obvious cure for digestion problems? Chew your food.
We are all in such hurries, we wolf our food without even tasting it let alone chewing. We don’t have time to eat, so we eat quickly, because we have 300 other things competing for our time. Here is what happens when we do chew our food, and what happens when we do not.
What chewing does for us.
Digestion begins in the mouth. Saliva contains enzymes needed to begin breaking the food we eat down. Our saliva alters the chemical makeup of the food. Chewing grinds the food which physically changes its structure as well. Take grain for instance. Not only does the saliva begin to change the grain into usable starch (sugar) so our body can absorb it, but the physical action of chewing mechanically breaks the fibers in the food. Your teeth effectively grind your food, so the saliva enzymes can completely penetrate the food you are chewing.
When you chew, your brain sends signals to your stomach and intestines that food is on the way. Your body can prepare itself for everything it will need to properly digest the food you eat. By giving your system a head start, the food you eat is better absorbed and digested. This passes the food more effectively and efficiently through your body. The more nutrients absorbed from the food you eat, the less fat that is absorbed for later use.
The last sentence is worth repeating. The more nutrients that are absorbed from the food you eat, the less fat that is extracted and stored for later use. Ladies listen up, when you eat fast, your system panics, little nutrients are absorbed, but fatis extracted and stored for later use.
What happens when properly chewing is ignored.
Food will not break down properly in your stomach if saliva doesn’t thoroughly saturate your food. The acids produced in your stomach are specially designed and formulated to react with the enzymes in your saliva, this is how digestion is designed. Less chewing time means less digestion from the digestive tract. Only the outermost layer of food is properly digested. This limits the small intestine to only get the nutrients from the outside layer. Besides absorbing the fat which normally keeps your stool soft, is indigestible food is pushed to the large intestine where it rots.
This rotting food causes gas, bloating, and pressure. Since all of the fat was absorbed rather than included with the waste to help make it soft, when water is extracted from the colon, you are left with constipation.
Now what about making you a better person?
By chewing your food completely, you will have less time to talk and more time to listen. Two ears, one mouth, use them in proportion. You will be surprised what will happen to your relationships when you listen twice as much as you talk.
